No fewer than 17 persons were reportedly killed in an auto crash at Takalafia village along Yawuri Expressway, in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.
It was reliably gathered that the crash involved a DAF articulated vehicle engaged in over speeding which resulted in loss of control that caused the accident.
According to findings, the incident occurred around 3 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday
The FRSC Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem confirmed the accident in a statement issued in Abuja.
Kazeem explained that the accident involved 29 people, comprising 20 male adults, 4 female adults, and 5 male children.
He said the injured victims have been evacuated to Kontagora General Hospital, for immediate medical attention, pointing out that the dead were deposited in the mortuary of the same Hospital in Niger State.
