Emir of Lapai Alhaji Umaru Bago Tafida the third has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Umar Bina as the new Dagacin Bina in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.

He gave the approval during the presentation of the selected nominee to the Emirate council at the emir’s palace in Lapai on Thirteenth of December, twenty-twenty-three, while he prayed for both the late and New Dagacin Bina.

The representatives of the four ruling houses comprising Yaba, Anama, Rokoba and Saije unanimously endorsed Alhaji Mohammed Umar a decendant of Etsu Mazza Saije ruling house was presented to the royal father who officially acknowledged him as the new village head of Bina community.

The Emir urged the community to support the new Dagacin Bina who is a retired health worker in the Niger State Ministry of Health and Hospital Services to ensure peace and tranquility in the area in order to enhance development.

Bago Tafida pointed out that leadership is about patience, consultations and carrying everybody along to ensure sense of belonging unity, peace, stability and growth of the area.

The Royal father however charged on the subjects to be supportive, loyal, give better advice and to be security conscious as well as report any suspicious movement to the appropriate authorities to achieve sustainable peace.

In his acceptance speech, the new Dagacin Bina, Alhaji Mohammed Umar Bina appreciated king makers and the entire community while calling for the support of all in order to succeed during his reign as he took over the throne of his fore father’s.

He maintained that his reign would ensure fairness, justice, equal opportunity and a very transparent and accountable leadership for smooth running of affairs to enhance peaceful coexistence in his domain.

It could be recalled that the late Dagacin Bina Mallam Haruna Mohammed from Rokoba ruling house died early this month after a protracted illness at the age of eighty.
