Arrangements have been concluded by the Niger state government to ensure a smooth visit of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for the commissioning of procured agricultural equipment worth billions of naira among others in the state.
The state Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman made this known while briefing newsmen on the preparedness of the presidential visit at government house Minna, saying that the Minna International Airport named after Abubakar Iman to be renamed after President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
She added that all necessary measures has been put in place to ensure a hitch free visit of the president, noted that other projects to be commissioned include the remodelled terminal airport, to lay foundation for Hajji terminal at the airport respectively.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Musa Salihu Bosso reiterated the commitment of the present administration of governor Mohammed Umar Bago to lead other states in ensuring food security in the country hence the agricultural mechanization flag-off.
He stated that on the agricultural revolution of Nigeria state governor’s agenda no fewer than 500 tractors are on ground out of 10,000, while 200 power tillers are on ground out of 1,000 target just as 6 harvesters on ground out of 1,000 anticipated targets.
