Niger state government is set to sustained its partnership with the Association for Reproduction and Family Health ARFH in ensuring the provision of adequate family planning commodities in the state.

The ARFH Director of Programs, Dr Kolapo Oyeniyi made this known during an interview ofter his team paid a courtesy visit to the Niger state Ministry of Primary Health in Minna, expressed confidence in the state government commitment in the health sector.

Dr Oyeniyi disclosed that it had earli implemented a successful program in Niger state hence the need to sustain the Family Planning project in four states and in new other states of the nation.

He applauded the Niger state government for being the first state to transformed its Primary Health Care Agency to a full ministry to ensure effective and efficient service delivery in the basic health care provision.

The director of programs revealed that the fatigue of the donors necessitates the ownership and sustainability process in order to sustain the gains of the projects.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Niger State Ministry of Primary Health Care, Dr Abdullahi Imam
reiterated the commitment of the present administration of governor Mohammed Umar Bago in funding of the health sector and payment of counterpart funds.

He assured of partnership with the association so as to ensure that health sector especially the family planning unit of the ministry considering the importance of the health of the citizens.
