Niger state branch of the National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGWN), have elected its new executives to pilot the affairs of the union for the next three years.

The election of the affiliate of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) was held at its second triennial delegate conference in Minna, with a call by the national president of the union, Comrade John Ajayi to adhered to the principles of unity, independence and democracy.

Comrade Ajayi encouraged them on the idea of concensus through internal democracy to reduce tension and stress of embarking on the conduct of election while insisting on hitch free poll and participatory democracy to ensure peace.

In the acceptance speech, the second term Niger state chairman of NUTGWN, Comrade Mohammed Baba Mohammed underscore his past achievements and commended the peaceful conduct of the union members, appealed for more support, understanding and cooperation for better things ahead.
