The Commandant, Police Secondary School Minna, SP Haruna Ibrahim has advised parents to refrain from given their Children expensive phones to school and also disclosed their health status to the school management before enrolment.
He gave the advice at the 26th passing out parade and Prize giving ceremony of 420 students of the school, urged the parents to stop giving their Children excess money to school.
Wife of the Inspector General of Police and National President Police Officers Wife Association (POWA), Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun who was the Reviewing Officer of the Passing out parade appreciated the Management of the PSS Minna for Setting the pace for other schools to follow and the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school.
The School’s Chairman Parents Teachers Association, Barrister Shehu Umar appealed to the Wife of the Inspector General of Police to ensure the Graduating Students be automatically considered for admission into the Nigerian Police Academy considering on the kind of training they have received from the school.
In his remarks, Niger State Commissioner of Police, Ogundele Ayodeji stressed that if the students are offered automatic admissions into Police Academy, it will serve as a morale booster for other Police Secondary School Students.
The Special Guest of Honour who is the Director, Community and Rural Development N-HYPPADEC, Doctor Mahmud Umar Mohammed promised that the commission will sponsor some projects in the school to provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
