Suspected criminals, Shehu Buhari, Musa Idris both of Barkin-Sale, Minna and Idrisu Aliyu (Dagrin) of Kaffintela, Minna, have confessed during interrogation that they have stolen over 500 goats at different locations in city of Minna.

They said they have been stealing goats in Minna for the past five years to survive.

It was further stated that they do sell the goats at the rate of ten thousand to fifteen thousand, depending on the size.

It was also revealed that butchers in Maitumbi and Tunga areas, were their customers.

It would be noted that the Niger State Police Command based on information received about a syndicate who specializes in stealing goats around Kpakungu, Soje areas of Minna has arrested four suspects in connection with such crimes in Minna.

A statement issued by the Niger State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Wasiu Abiodun, said the syndicate was sighted and the Police TST team responded, but the thieves zoomed off in a Honda Civic vehicle with Reg. No. MNA 342 AA.

It noted that the vehicle was intercepted around Shiroro Hotel and three suspects were arrested.
