A non governmental organization, Xploits Consulting limited has warned secondary school against drug abuse.

Speaking yesterday while addressing journalists, Mrs Grace Taiwo, Director of Communication, Xploits Consulting ltd,
said the NGO took campaign to;
Christ Anglican Secondary School, Gwagwalada and Capville Group of schools, Dawaki in Abuja, while
Brainstorm Comprehensive Academy, Ungwan Jaba and Babcecil Schools, New Karu were visited in Abuja.

She said the issue of drug addiction is eating deep into the society especially among young adults, urging students to desist from such acts.

Mr Augustine Nduka, NDLEA, Gudu who was the main speaker,spoke extensively on drugs ranging from definition, examples,types of addiction,stages of drug abuse, classification of drugs, effects of drugs and how to get help when addicted.

Mr Nduka adviced the students to stay away from drugs as it can lead to jail term or death.

On his part, Mr Samuel Animoku, an ICT consultant spoke to the students on peer influence.

He told them to be careful with the kind of friends they keep.

Appreciating the efforts of Access bank Plc and Xploits Consulting ltd, Mr Oliver Onoja, Principal of Babcecil Schools , New Karu said the lecture is timely as drug abuse is ravaging the lives of youths in the country.

On her part, Miss Angela Anajendu of Capville Group of schools, Dawaki thanked the facilitators and sponsors for educating them on the dangers of drug abuse.
The participating schools promised to kick start a drug free club to help combat the menace.
